Hooray for Legal Documents

I suppose it was bound to happen eventually. K brought in the mail today and included with it was a letter from The Door magazine. They want to publish the story (really more of a humorous mock news article) I sent them, so I had to sign a document promising I wrote the article, wasn't plagiarizing and so on. I assume they will be getting back to me soon about whether it's going in their print magazine, on their website or both. I'll let you know when I do. In the meantime, well, it looks like I really am about to be a published writer. Yay!

Congratulations, Matt. Published in The Doors. I thought they were a great band in their day - of course that was my day, too, quite a long time ago.

I will strive to bring the quality up to your demanding standards with my piece.

Well, here's the deal. They get to choose whether they want to print it in their print magazine or put it on their site (or both) and they haven't told me yet. So it might be very very easy for you to get a copy.

  6. Woohoo for getting published, Matt! I'm sure its quite entertaining, and I'm looking forward to seeing it in print.
You got a "Oh Great!" from an apartment in Rijeka when we read the news.

  7. i said I wanted a signed copy, so it won't be very very very easy for me to get it.

But if you want to sign your LCD screen when you have the webpage open and then ship your laptop to me, I don't think I'll mind.

  9. Congrats Matt -
Too bad that you won't even be able to buy a latte with your pay...did you know someone once figured you make about $0.78 per hour as a writer? Not that I want to discourage you - but it makes CCC staff look really good!

No really bro - press on!!!!!
