Twisted Christmas

Okay, kids. I will write more this weekend. In the meantime, your homework is to discuss this video. Krista and I caught this on "The Craig Ferguson Show."

What is going on here? Is it irony? Devotion? An attempt at inducing fear? Or pathos? Maybe bathos, I just don't know. Give me some insight.

If you want to do some extra research, here's an article telling you more about Twisted Sister. Yes, I know some of you are too young to know who Twisted Sister is. For that matter, some of you are probably too old to know Twisted Sister.

Off to study binyanim. Shalom.

Wow. According to roommate and music guru Jonny, their lead singer has his own talk show. On said show, he mentioned their song "We're Not Gonna Take It" sounded to him a lot like "O Come, All Ye Faithful." Apparently actually recording it was some sort of big inside joke. And here I was just thinking it was awesome...

  2. Mmmm. Interesting insight. So the song was partly recorded because it sounds like one of their hit songs. I think they had, um, two hit songs.

I've heard that "Twisted Christmas" is their final album. Which is also weird. I wonder what other songs are on that thing.

  3. Yeah, something like that. Imagine my joy to discover that Amazon has samples of all the tracks. It's quite an aural experience. I may never look at Christmas music the same.

  4. I can't believe I watched all 4 minutes, 18 seconds of that....and kind of enjoyed it for that matter.

  6. Interesting how that song describes their performance... Joyful and Triumphant... I think they've almost reached their prime of their musical career.

why do you think the lead singer runs off stage during the guitar solo?
