Day With the Lord

Today I'm going to have a "Day with the Lord."  For those who aren't in the know, this is when you take a day away and spend time praying and reflecting and just getting time with God.  I don't do this as often as I should, but every once in a while my lovely wife says to me, "You should take a day with the Lord."  There are various reasons for this... when I'm out of sorts or asking questions I can't seem to get traction on or just feeling stuck in life, a day with the Lord helps me to get centered with Christ and get clarity.  Not that it's always a great day, sometimes it can be frustrating or difficult.  But sometimes it can be spectacular.  Obviously I prefer spectacular.

This time I'm really wanting to get away and go somewhere new, and somewhere I'm not going to run into anyone I know, and that will be away from distraction.  So I've been considering driving out to Mount St. Helens.  So I went onto the website last night and I discovered this.  SASQUATCH!  So I guess that seals the deal.  Mount St. Helens it is.

In any case, if you're the praying kind, I'd appreciate your prayers today, that I would have a meaningful day with God today.  Thanks.

p.s. You can also pray that I will see a Bigfoot.  Krista is convinced that they don't exist.
