Christian Bumper Sticker, Luxury Car

At a nearby Christian school I read this bumper sticker on the back of a very nice vehicle:

"Don't let the car fool you, my treasure is really in Heaven."

Feel free to comment. I am still mute with wonder.

Reminds me of a trip to Amish country in Pennsylvania. While there, we were shown a number of different churches. As we drove by one, our host told us that it was a "black bumper" church.

When we asked what a "black bumper" church was, it was explained to us that this was a special sect of the Amish faith.

While they are allowed to drive cars, they can't drive flashy cars that draw attention to them. These folks have discovered a loop-hole in the flashy car rule. As long as you don't have chrome on your car, you're fine.

This explained the church parking lot full of BMW's & Mercedes with all the chrome painted black!

  3. Hmm, reminds me of a survey I read about. A survey of Americans asked, "how much money would you need to have to consider yourself rich? The average answer, "$2 million". So "very nice vehicle" doesn't cut it.
