MUST NOT USE IT!

Having lived in Asia for several years, I became pretty used to seeing hysterically funny signs in English.

But it's not often you see one in the United States with equally impenetrable English.  Note the sign to the left, which was at the hotel that Krista and I stayed in this weekend.

"GUEST UNDER PREGNANCY MUST NOT USE SAUNA"!  I'm not sure what that means, but my best guess is that when Krista is pregnant and tired and wants to rest her baby belly on me, that at this time I MUST NOT use the sauna because I am "under pregnancy."  But that's just a guess.

Sign on the way to Sisters

We're in Sisters, OR, this weekend for the OSU retreat.

On the way we passed a restaurant that had this sign on the road:

"CHICKEN

STEAK

SEAFOOD

KIDS"

I hit the gas and we rocketed past. I'm never going to that restaurant.

Classy

Here's a sign at the restaurant I had lunch in today:

MEN: NO SHIRT, NO SERVICE.

WOMEN: NO SHIRT, FREE DRINKS.

Beware of Cliff

We saw this sign on the way home from Thanksgiving.

I particularly like the part where the birds are flying around over the cliff. That's a nice touch.

Signs of Daytona Beach, Florida

This (slightly modified) sign seems to provide evidence that someone from Portland, OR beat us here. Unless it was one of my co-workers. In which case, I suspect Colorado. :)

Aaaand, here's a sign that proves that we're *not* in Portland. Just in case you were wondering which foods were neither organic, made from organic ingredients, nor all-natural, here's a handy guide to which foods those might be.

Yet Another Silly Sign from Colorado

"Two Great Locations To Wake Up At Copper." I am not sure what this means. I have not personally ever woken a location. Apparently both locations are Starbucks. Tomorrow morning I plan to burst into Starbucks and yell WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!

I am not sure what will happen, but I imagine it will involve the floor buckling and pipes reaching out of the ground like arms, lights flashing on and off and some sort of monstrous yawn.

This sign brought to you by the Men's Restroom Stalls of Copper Mountain.
