Found Poetry: Aida

So you stood by and let me plot and plan and commit a crime
in stupefied disbelief as she twisted the cork out.
There was quite a turnout at the sports stadium. Cheers and shouts of
jugglers, duels, arm wrestling.

Aida? I said.
She, firmly before me as I went to sleep.
This was a time for wounds.

Welcome, she said, doubly welcome.
To the College of Knowledge from
Bow-wow.

  2. the College of Bow-wow?!!! What do I have to do to apply to that school. I assume it's for aspiring rappers since it's named after the proficient lyricist lil' Bow-wow...right?

  3. Yup, that's right, Wes. That's why you have to read your junk mail and look for the diamond in the spam.

As for the College of Knowledge of Bow-wow... I have no idea. That's the beauty of poetry, Matt. It's whatever it speaks to you and your heart. :)

    Found Poetry: So Similar

one block north of the casino
    triangular and quadrangular
    admitting contrary qualities
it is by itself something else
him and the slave will remain the same
to each in the same sense as relatives.
