We cut down a Christmas tree this week. The kids loved running through the trees. I didn't see them much. But once, when A came back up to me, I gave her a stern warning.
Me: Be careful out there. Watch out for elves.
A: What elves?
Me: The tree elves.
A: Oh. Okay.
Then she ran off.
